Things To Do

Golf

Find the best golf vacation for you with the wide-variety of courses along Florida’s Sports Coast. Home to some of the best courses in Florida—including those designed by golf legend Arnold Palmer—your golf getaway will be filled with rolling fairways, well-maintained greens and varying wilderness areas that make every round of golf both challenging and enjoyable.

Saddlebrook Resort

With beautiful resort suites surrounding the two picturesque Arnold Palmer-designed courses, Saddlebrook Resort is the best pick for a stay-and-play golf retreat along Florida’s Sports Coast. Both courses feature rolling fairways, well-maintained greens and wilderness areas full of cypress, pine and palm trees. Contoured to resemble a rolling New England course, the Palmer Golf Course is a masterpiece without equal. Don’t miss out on this amazing course, the 425-yard signature 18th hole is famously tricky, and you’ll want to tell this golfing story for years to come.

Lake Jovita Golf & Country Club

With two beautiful courses at this Lake Jovita Golf & Country Club, you can golf for a full day without leaving the grounds. The South Course was designed by Tom Lehman and features a great layout with wide fairways. Watch out for the ponds and lakes along the course, and the uncharacteristic elevation changes will test your skills. The North Course is even hillier than the South Course. Designed by Kurt Sandness, you’ll want to take the time on this course to admire the scenic views—the tee at the second hole even has five miles of visibility on a clear day.

Fox Hollow Golf Club

Fox Hollow Golf Club

One of Robert Trent Jones Sr.’s last designs, Fox Hollow Golf Club is a masterpiece Par-71 course. Featuring Seashore Paspalum greens, rolling fairways, and large white-sand bunkers, this 7,079-yard course provides a true test for golfers of all skill levels. Complete with a grass driving range with over 25 hitting stations, a chipping green with a practice bunker, and a 10,800 square foot practice green, it’s easy to see why this is an unrivaled Florida golf course.

Plantation Palms Golf Club

Take a swing at one of the best courses on Florida’s Sports Coast at Plantation Palms Golf Club. Known for their immaculate course conditions and challenging layouts, this 18-hole, Par-72 championship golf course features naturally rolling terrain with abundant wildlife. Measuring 6,735 yards to the back tees, Plantation Palms is beautifully conditioned and well maintained, providing every golfer with a course that’s well above par and a true delight to play.
