Zephyrhills Museum of Military History

39444 South Ave, Zephyrhills, FL 33542

Travel back in time with a trip to the Zephyrhills WWII Barracks Museum. During the early 1940s, the Army used this location as a training airfield for combat pilots. After the war, the airfield was donated to the city and the old Infirmary was turned into this beautiful museum. While you’re here, your family will enjoy an educational tour of period weaponry, uniforms, wartime supplies and historical pictures of the 10th Fighter Squadron. A favorite destination for kids of all ages, the Zephyrhills WWII Barracks Museum is an amazing location for your next family outing.

This was an awesome historical museum with knowledgeable staff and a lot to take in. My 9 year old is a big WWII buff and he was over the moon with all the displays and artifacts. For me it was great to hear about the local ties to the community.....

Wow! This is a great museum, a lot of artifacts and very informative. The staff member (Cliff) was fantastic and did a great job of explaining the different rooms and eras. Free museum, but donations are always welcome.
