Round 2 of the 15th Annual Toyota-USA Hockey Disabled Hockey Festival Happening This Weekend on Florida’s Sports Coast

Pasco County, Fla. – Week one of the 2019 Toyota-USA Hockey Disabled Hockey Festival has wrapped at AdventHealth Center Ice where athletes of all ages took to the ice to compete in blind, deaf/hard of hearing, special hockey, standing amputee and warrior division hockey.

This weekend (April 4-7) kicks off round two of this year’s festival, hosting sled hockey athletes from across the country. Teams will be divided into 10 divisions including USA Hockey Sled Hockey National Championship. Several members of the gold medal-winning 2018 U.S. Paralympic Sled Hockey Team will take part in this weekend’s event.

USA Hockey is offering the chance to try sled hockey this Saturday, April 6 from 2:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m. at AdventHealth Center Ice.

2019 marks the first time the USA Hockey Disabled Hockey Festival has been hosted in Florida in partnership with Florida’s Sport Coast and several other partners from across Tampa Bay including Tampa Bay Lightning, Statewide Amateur Hockey of Florida and Experience Florida’s Sports Coast.

Don’t miss a shot! USA Hockey, in partnership with HockeyTV, will provide live streaming coverage of all games, including the Adult Sled Hockey National Championship.

More about USA Hockey Disabled Hockey Festival: Since the festivals start in 2005 the festival has grown from 24 team and close to 300 players to hosting 128 teams and nearly 1,700 players a record for festival attendance.  The mission of the Festival is to provide a fun and exciting weekend of hockey in a grand event as well as promote and grow disabled hockey throughout the country.
