PASCO COUNTY, FL —- Pasco County’s Destination Management Organization, Experience Florida’s Sports Coast, welcomes Bobbi DeFilippis as the newest member of the Tourist Development Council (TDC). The Pasco Board of County Commissioners (BCC) voted unanimously to approve DeFilippis’ appointment earlier this month.
DeFilippis is the director of sales for SpringHill Suites by Marriott Tampa Suncoast Parkway and brings nearly 30 years of hospitality and hotel experience to her seat.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Bobbi to the TDC,” said Tourism Director Adam Thomas. “Since the launch of our rebrand as Florida’s Sports Coast, Bobbi has been an unwavering pillar of support to our team and the destination. We couldn’t ask for a better tourism ally to join our council.”
“I look forward to getting to know my fellow board members and fellow industry partners as we collectively work together with the DMO to move tourism forward for Pasco County,” said DeFilippis.
The TDC is an advisory council to the BCC, comprised of elected officials and tourism industry professionals who provide recommendations to the staff of Experience Florida’s Sports Coast on exciting promotional/partnership proposals, marketing opportunities and oversight of tourism tax expenditures – also known as the “Bed Tax.”
