PASCO COUNTY, FL (June 10, 2021)- Experience Florida’s Sports Coast (FSC), the Destination Management Organization for Pasco County, has won five Telly Awards, four silver and one bronze, for their new sports tourism promotional video, “Game On” and pandemic community advocacy video, “Sports Coast Strong”.

As Florida continued to attract amateur sporting events during the pandemic, the destination identified a need for a marketing video to let sporting event planners know Florida’s Sports Coast was open for business. The “Game On” video depicts an adult soccer player looking out onto a dark soccer field before the video switches to a bright sunny day, full of action. The video match-cuts different sports actions from each core sport for the destination to show play in progress on multiple surfaces. View the Telly Award winning video here. 

While amateur sports tourism continued to thrive during the pandemic, the destination saw the grave impact local businesses such as restaurants, retail and attraction partners suffered during the initial shelter in place orders. To drum up morale, the destination’s internal marketing team set out across Florida’s Sports Coast to tell the story of how industry partners were supporting their communities through special meals for frontline workers and were in turn supported by their local communities through to-go food and drink orders. Surviving the initial impact of the pandemic was a full community effort and the destination wanted to speak to the human interest and emotion of how communities came together to be “Sports Coast Strong”.
