PASCO COUNTY, FL  —-  Are you working to grow your special, non-sporting event in Pasco County – like an art show or music festival – and could use some financial assistance?  We’re here to help!

Florida’s Sports Coast, the destination management organization for Pasco County, is pleased to introduce the 2024-2025 Marketing Matching Sponsorship Program (MMSP). Designed to spotlight artistic, cultural, or distinctive events beyond the realm of sports, this initiative aims to underscore the diverse experiences our destination offers. The MMSP offers financial support of up to $5,000 to expand the marketing reach of your event to audiences outside Pasco County. For the 2024-2025 cycle, the DMO is implementing two additional funding incentives:

Long-distance Promotions Incentive: Providing up to $2,000, this incentive facilitates advertising, marketing, and promotional activities targeted at regions located more than 100 miles away from Pasco County.

Room Night Generation Incentive: Offering up to $3,000, this incentive is geared towards incentivizing the generation of actual room nights within Pasco County hotels.

These incentives have the potential to attract more overnight visitors to our region and enhance the local tourism economy.

How to apply:

• Applicants are required to attend a one-on-one session before funding is approved.  Organizers must have attended the one-on-one session before June 12^th in order to be eligible for funding. • Application cycle closes on July 5^th, 2024.

• Applicants must also give an oral presentation to the Tourist Development Council August 20, 2024.

Requirements:

• Event must take place between October 1, 2024,and September 30, 2025

• Dollar-for-dollar match and/or in-kind goods or services on the first $5,000

• Exhaust the first $5,000 in out-of-Pasco promotions to qualify for the long-distance Promotions Incentive

• Track event room night generation in Pasco hotels to qualify for the Room Night Generation Incentive

• MMSP funds are for event-related marketing expenditures only

• Marketing dollars must be used to promote to tourists outside of Pasco County
