Florida’s Sports Coast is home to hundreds of miles of paved and unpaved trails. Recently opened, the Starkey Gap Trail connects Pasco County to the rest of the Coast to Coast Trail that spans 250-miles from Florida’s Gulf Coast to the Atlantic coastline. This trail is best explored by bicycle to really go the distance. But, if cycling isn’t your speed, head out for a leisure hike at one of Pasco County’s parks. Jay B. Starkey Wilderness Park offers a variety of  trails to explore via bike or foot. Visitors are sure to see some of Florida’s top wildlife, but keep your eyes to the skies. Starkey is home to a new bird blind where avian enthusiasts can peacefully scan the skies for some of their favorite Florida birds.
