FSC Film Commission requires a film permit for a motion picture, shoots that involve street/roads/sidewalk closure, stunts or staged photography within the county. There is no charge for a county permit. A location fee for filming on city properties or county parks might be required. Filming on private property requires consent from the property owner, however, if the production is large and it involves placement of equipment or crew vehicles on the street or right-of way; implicates the use of a tent or other temporary structure, a permit may be required.
Allow five (5) full business days to process a standard permit. If you need a permit processed in less than 5 days, please notify our office immediately. Shoots involving road closures, intermittent traffic control, closing off public areas, etc., will take longer than 5 days to process. In order to film at a Florida State Park, the Application Photography Permit for Photography, Videography and Cinematography must be completed and returned. Within seven (7) days the agency will evaluate the application and either approve or disapprove the application.
