New Port Richey Film Festival Competition

Submit your short film to one of three categories: 12 & younger, 13-17, 18 & older. All group members must meet the age requirements for the chosen category. Send your entries to [email protected] via WeTransfer (wetransfer.com). Make sure to include the film title, creators’ name(s) and age(s), and a contact phone number. Here are the guidelines for submissions:

• Films must be motion pictures (no slide shows).
• Duration should be shorter than 5 minutes.
• Content should be connected to New Port Richey, its culture, or its history (setting, characters, etc.).
• Entries must be original and free of copyright restrictions. Repurposed content (such as graphics, stock footage, and music) is allowed only if minimally used, properly licensed, and all necessary permissions have been obtained.
• Entries should comply with the Motion Picture Association’s “G” rating.

Participants grant the City of New Port Richey and New Port Richey Public Library all rights to the entries and agree that the entries may be displayed in entirety or partially and reproduced without limitation or compensation.

The final date for submissions is Fri, July 26th.

The awards ceremony and screening will be held at the Richey Suncoast Theatre on Sat, Aug. 3rd from 3pm – 6pm.
