Wandeltocht om Alzheimer te bestrijden in Pasco County

Residents are invited to join the Walk to End Alzheimer’s Pasco County on Saturday, September 26, 2026, held at Shops at Wiregrass, 28211 Paseo Drive, Wesley Chapel.

You can register today by going to Alz.org/PascoCountyWalk

Today more than 7 million Americans are currently living with Alzheimer’s, and over 580,000 people in Florida are living with the disease. An estimated 11 million family members and friends provide unpaid care for those affected by Alzheimer’s and other dementias nationwide , and more than 870,000 unpaid caregivers are Florida residents.

On Walk Day, registration begins at 8:00 a.m., followed by the flower ceremony at 9:00 a.m., and the Walk immediately follows. Those affected by Alzheimer’s are honored by participants with the poignant Promise Garden ceremony — a mission-focused experience that signifies our solidarity in the fight against the disease. During the ceremony, walkers will carry flowers of various colors, each color representing their personal connection to the disease.
