Community Votes, Local Talent Wins: Richey Suncoast Theatre Announces 3rd Annual Tommy Awards
\nNEW PORT RICHEY, FL \u2014 Richey Suncoast Theatre will roll out the red carpet for the 3rd Annual Tommy Awards on Sunday, August 23, 2026, celebrating a full season of local performers, volunteers, and production talent.
\nWhat sets the Tommy Awards apart is who decides. The winners are chosen entirely by community vote \u2014 performers and audience members cast the ballots, making it one of the few award nights in the region determined by the people who were actually in the room.
\nVoting opens Wednesday, July 29 and closes Wednesday, August 12 at 8:00 PM at richeysuncoasttheatre.com\/tommy-awards. Finalists will be announced on Friday, August 14.
\nThe evening includes an awards ceremony, live performances drawn from this season’s productions, light bites from local eateries, and a cash bar \u2014 plus the chance to meet the board, staff, and volunteers who keep the nearly century-old theatre running.
